This policy explains what information Cleaning Ideals LLC ("Cleaning Ideals", "we") collects through cleaningideals.com and when you contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are a house cleaning company serving Chicago, Illinois.
Information you give us
When you request an estimate or book a cleaning, we collect:
- your name, phone number, ZIP code and, if you choose to give it, your email address;
- the type of cleaning you want and anything you write in the notes field;
- if you book with us, the details we need to do the job: your address, the cleaning date, how often you want cleaning, the price, and notes such as access instructions or pets.
Information collected automatically
- Our own website statistics. We record which pages and sections are viewed, which buttons are tapped, and whether the booking form was started or sent. To tell visits apart we store a random identifier in your browser's local storage (not a cookie). We also record your device type (phone, tablet or computer), the website or ad that brought you to us, and your approximate location (city and state), which our hosting provider derives from your IP address. We do not store your IP address.
- Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram). Uses cookies to measure how our ads perform, for example that someone who saw an ad later sent our form. Meta may use this under its own privacy policy.
- Google Analytics. Uses cookies to give us statistics about visits. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Microsoft Clarity. Uses cookies to show us how the site is used through heatmaps and recordings of page interactions, so we can fix confusing parts. Text you type into forms is masked. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
How we use your information
- to answer your request, give you an estimate, and schedule and carry out cleanings;
- to contact you about your request or booking by phone, text message or email;
- to keep records of our customers and the work we did;
- to understand how people use our website and which ads work, and to improve both.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for other companies' marketing.
Who we share it with
Only with service providers that help us run the business, under their own privacy and security terms: website hosting (Vercel), our customer database (Turso), email (Google), and the analytics and advertising tools listed above. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
Calls and text messages
When you send our form, you agree that we may call or text you at the number you gave us about your request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts, or tell us on the phone that you don't want to be contacted. We do not use your number for unrelated marketing.
How long we keep it
Customer records are kept for as long as you are a customer and afterwards as long as we need them for our business and legal obligations, such as tax records. Website statistics are anonymous and are deleted after 25 months. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).
Your choices
- Access, correction and deletion. Email or call us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, unless we must keep something by law.
- Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we do not load Meta, Google or Microsoft tracking on our site.
- Cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out add-on and manage ads from Meta in your Facebook ad preferences.
Security
Our customer records are kept in a password-protected system that only we can access, and information is sent over encrypted connections. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care to protect your information.
Children
Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the date at the top.
